Helm Housing - The new name for BIH

Over one hundred families moved into new homes dispersed throughout South Dublin on the 17^th & 18^th November 2009.
The 104 properties are owned by South Dublin County Council and were originally acquired by the Council for sale to affordable purchasers.

On the 7^th September 2009, 37 happy families received the keys to their new homes from Helm Housing. These units of unsold affordable accommodation were let to people from the Council's waiting list in Mullingar and Kinnegad.

Helm Housing has completed the purchase of four apartments at Canon Hall, Sheriff St, Dublin 1

On the 17^th and 18^th August 2009, 70 households moved into their new 1 and 2–bed apartments in Cabra, Dublin 7.

Helm Housing are delighted with their first scheme in Fingal at Mayeston Green in Mayeston Hall, St. Margaret's Road. The scheme comprises 40 two–bedroom apartments.

The mixed-use, mixed–tenure development at Hanover Quay won the RIAI's premier competition for excellence of design in housing at its bi–ennial conference on the 28^th April 2009. Mr Michael Finneran TD presented the RIAI Silver Medal for Housing to O'Mahony Pike Architects.

April provided a double celebration for the HELM Housing Dublin office.

With our first re–let of 2009, BIH were required in accordance with new building legislation 'Energy Performance of Buildings' to obtain a BER Cert for the new tenants.
